Job Description

Security Systems Administrator provides an opportunity to develop the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's fundamental defense services and works closely with clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to create and manage various Program and client technologies. In addition, the Security Systems Administrator will be required to perform similar activities as follows:

Install, configure and optimize security tools including HP ArcSight Logger and ESM, AppDetective/DBprotect, McAfee Vulnerability Manager, Nessus, Hailstorm and similar security tools.
Assess and investigate associated alerts.
Identify malicious activity.
Work with customer security operations centers to monitor and respond to threats.
Perform monthly vulnerability scans.
Ensure vulnerabilities are mitigated.
Support annual FISMA and NIST security requirements.
Participate as a member of a small, multi-disciplinary team that works cooperatively to ensure supported applications are available to support the customer mission.
Become familiar with other team responsibilities to enable acting as backup/augmentation as required.

Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of various engineering systems and the ability to further the Program’s technology.
Experience with web-based application hosting, Apache Tomcat, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, active directory, group policies, firewalls, load balancers, and network attached storage are desirable.
